As some of you might know, Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway 2010, formerly ISA Server, has been available as a Release Candidate (RC) for some time now. Actually a month today to be exact. I’ve only recently switched out my old trusty ISA Server 2006 server and had a go with Forefront TMG 2010, and I must say, there are a lot of cool and interesting new stuff! Among other things there is now a Web Reputation Service, SIP-awareness, a new Network Inspection System (NIS) and of course a new Forefront TMG Client.
I won’t go into detail, as I’ve yet to try out all the new stuff, but I’ll try to compile a post later after I’ve had it running in my lab for a while. Meanwhile, you can check out the Forefront TMG team blog to see what’s going on. I have yet to find a release date yet.
By the way, for those of you running System Center Operations Manager, there is as of November 2nd also a Management Pack for Forefront TMG 2010 available.
