So I always recommend my customers to patch their systems to with the latest and greatest patches for security and performance reasons.
Sometimes you hit a bad one. Well that did happen this month.
Got a costumer that told me they all missed their signatures in outlook and other things like readpane were reset. This started a couple of days ago right after the famous PatchTuesday. One of the updates was KB3114409
Which was supposed to fix an issue with safemode, but they managed to make the issue a lot worse. Anyhow Microsoft has removed this patch, but for those lucky Sysadmins who had the honor of installing it in the first place needs to uninstall it. In some cases the patch is not listed and cant be uninstalled with the gui. If so you may use the following command:
wusa /uninstall /kb:3114409
Be aware you should always close any office application before you do any installing/uninstalling.
